Job DescriptionJob Title: Tool EngineerWorking Pattern: Days (9 Day Fortnight)Working location: BristolAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tool Engineer to join the Shadow Works team within Defence in Bristol.As a Tooling Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving tooling and fixtures to support production efficiency, quality and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to deliver solutions that meet the demands of a high-performance production environment.What you will be doing:Support new product introduction with tooling concepts, development and validation.Track and manage Government owned assets and tooling used within the facility.Conduct root cause analysis of tooling related issues and implement corrective action.Oversee calibration control to ensure compliance.Support layout improvements within the production environment to enhance workflow, efficiency, and space utilisation.Management and tracking of lifting related tooling within the facility.Conduct, manage and control COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) and safety risk assessments for the business.Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety standards.
