Job Summary

The Contract Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and guidance of the contracts administration of assigned contracts in support of Facilities Management business units.

Primary Job Functions

Description

  1. Develop, review and conduct strategic and sensitive oral and written communications with government contracts and program management functions.
  2. Review contractual documents and proposals to ensure adherence to company policy, FAR, DFAR, government specifications, and requirements
  3. Lead customer facing discussions and negotiations, demonstrating a strong acumen for customer relationship management in highly complex contract environments
  4. Advise internal customers and management on contractual rights and obligations and provide interpretation of contract terms and conditions
  5. Provide leadership in contract execution, anticipate and resolve problems, and ensure inter-group communication and cooperation. Assess issues, risks, and develop solutions.
  6. Responsible for compliance with all Government contract requirements, internal policies, and all Federal, State and applicable law
  7. Assist in the preparation and review/approve TINA covered cost proposals and narratives for contract proposals and changes.
  8. Work closely with legal, functional counterparts and company leadership.
  9. Support special projects assigned by Director of Contracts, manage company data calls and coordinate responses to internal and external audits.

Thorough understanding and wide application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards in contract administration

Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including FAR, TINA and CAS

Experience with FAR Part 36 construction contracting
