About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate General Counsel with a focus on healthcare to join their legal team. The successful candidate will serve as the primary legal counsel and strategic advisor to the company's care delivery organizations, providing expert guidance on a wide range of operational, regulatory, contracting, governance, and strategic matters. This role requires a high level of discretion, flexibility, and independent judgment, and the candidate should be an excellent communicator, a strong team player, and possess a strong drive for excellence. Responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various healthcare contracts, advising on federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, and actively managing outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor from a top-tier law school, a minimum of 8 years of relevant legal experience, and a strong background in healthcare regulatory and contracting expertise. Applicants for the Associate General Counsel position at the company should have a Juris Doctor from a top-tier, ABA-accredited law school, and be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar, or eligible for Registered In-House Counsel (RIHC). A minimum of 8 years of legal experience, with a significant focus on advising healthcare providers and integrated care delivery organizations, is required. The role demands a strong working knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements, including fraud and abuse laws, and experience in negotiating complex healthcare agreements. The candidate should be adept at providing practical legal advice on complex matters and be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment. Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, project management, and relationship management skills are essential.
