Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced RN specialized in Med Surg / Telemetry to join a tertiary care hospital in Rochester, NY on a travel assignment. This role involves working on a complex care unit dealing with Medicine, ortho overflow, and complex long-term patients. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to thrive in a dynamic environment requiring proficiency in Epic charting.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 on the MedSurg unit
• Utilize telemetry for on-unit monitoring
• Perform rapid response/code team duties
• Administer blood products and manage central lines
• Provide care for patients with pacemakers and feeding tubes
• Perform phlebotomy and IV insertion
• Implement Heparin Protocols and manage surgical drains
• Manage high flow nasal cannula, oxygen tanks, and tracheostomy
• Apply isolation precautions and wound care/wound vac techniques

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

• Valid NY license in hand
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Previous charge experience required
• Proficiency in EPIC charting
