Position Overview At Foundation Building Materials (FBM), Warehouse Associates keep operations running smoothly by receiving, organizing, and safely loading materials with precision and pride. Responsibilities Customer Service & Product Knowledge: Serve as a backup to the Inside Sales team by assisting customers with product inquiries, order entry, pricing, and quote preparation, helping maintain a high level of customer service on a daily basis. Provide service to customers entering the warehouse. Maintain a high level of customer focus in producing quality products and services. Maintain a full understanding of all products by identification, weight, and size. Warehouse Operations & Maintenance: Receive, organize, and move incoming materials and load outgoing materials. Allocate and move material to its correct place and always ensure an orderly warehouse. Maintain packing specifications, and make suitable skids/pallets. Participate in monthly and/or annual physical inventories. Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements. Use proper lifting techniques. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing. Trainings: Attend and participate in all required company training programs. Physical Requirements: Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation; occasional operation of forklift or similar equipment; occasional lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned. Qualifications Building supply warehouse experience strongly preferred High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and/or training Compensation and Benefits Reports To: Branch Manager Compensation: The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
