Job TitleTeam MemberJob DescriptionJob Purpose:Team Members are responsible for meeting the store's daily goals by processing donated goods and running the cash register. The Team Member must also assist customers and follow all company standards, policies, and procedures.Qualifications:Education: No formal education is requiredExperience: No experience is necessary.Clearances: Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance and Pennsylvania Criminal History Check. Goodwill will pay for these clearances.Supervision Received:The Team Member functions under the direction of the Store Manager.Skills, Abilities, Duties and Responsibilities:Greeting, thanking, and building rapport with internal and external customers and donorsAssisting customersGiving receipts, processing returns, providing accurate information, and maintaining inventory levelsMaintaining a clean and safe interior and exterior environmentMaintaining accurate cash register proceduresAccepting, recording, sorting, and processing donations.Great donor vehicle and accept donated goods with careAsk donor if they would like a receipt and issue receipts to donorsAssist in the loading and unloading of donated goods as neededSanitize items as required by State LawPreparing bins for shipmentOperating a pallet jack, if applicableUtilizing the UKG systems by clocking in and out and submitting timesheets on time.Completing all required training throughout the year.Work congenitally and effectively with other Goodwill store employees and agency employeesMaintain hygiene and grooming standardsCommunicate clearly, verbally and in writingAbility to work a flexible schedule on short notice, including evenings, weekends, holidays and occasionally long hours (more than 8 hours)Must be dependable in attendance and punctualityAssist with the loading and unloading of trucksAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 30 lbs. frequentlyAbility to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally, (material handling equipment can be used to minimize effort expended, when practical)Ability to perform prolonged walking and standingAbility to perform frequent bending, stooping, and stretchingVision and hearing corrected to within normal limitsAdditional Job Results: All employees perform other functions, upon request, for the benefit of the Agency.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
