Test Program Specialist / Avionics Electronic Technician St. Charles, MO (Onsite Position Monday - Friday with up to 40% travel) Direct Hire, Full Time $65,000 - $70,000 yearly DOE We are looking for a TPS Specialist. The Test Program Specialist / Avionics Electronic Technician will be responsible for developing, assembling, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting test applications used with company test equipment. Test applications include adaptor cables, interface assemblies, and software-driven test procedures for a wide variety of DoD aircraft platforms, including helicopters, fighter aircraft, large transport aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems (UAS). The role is ideal for military veterans with avionics, electrical, aircraft maintenance, or flightline experience. The technician will work closely with engineers, program managers, and other technical personnel to ensure products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, reliability, and aircraft maintainability. Position requires strong troubleshooting skills, mission-focused attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in both shop and operational environments. Requirements 2-5 years of experience in avionics maintenance, aircraft electrical systems, cable assembly, or automated test equipment support Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, aircraft maintenance manuals, and technical publications Ability to travel domestically up to 40% to customer and military installation sites Ability to use a computer proficiently; proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications Experience troubleshooting electrical and avionics systems using standard electronic test equipment Familiarity with military or commercial aircraft avionics systems, circular connectors, and aerospace wiring practices Experience with automated cable test equipment such as AWTS, DIT-MCO, CK Technologies, or CableTest is a plus Understanding of configuration management, technical documentation, and quality assurance processes Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Must be a U.S. Citizen Associate degree or higher, technical school certification, military avionics training, or equivalent hands‑on avionics/electrical maintenance experience Bonus Skills Military aviation maintenance experience strongly preferred Basic understanding of scripting or programming languages such as ELITE, Python, or VBScript is preferred Equal Employment Opportunity Statement We champion equality and inclusivity, proudly supporting an Equal Opportunity Employer policy.
