TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Ortho RN in Greensboro, North Carolina, 27401!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years required License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience in orthopedic and trauma care. Description: 3x12 shifts, days from 7 am to 7:30 pm, every other weekend. One holiday shift and one evening shift during the holiday period required. No call responsibilities required. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers will not be considered. BLS certification is required, ACLS certification is preferred. Experience using Rapid Response Teams is essential. Specialization in pre-operative and post-operative orthopedic care is needed. Candidates should have experience with both elective and trauma patients. The nurse-patient ratio is 1:6, with the possibility of extending to 1:7. Experience with Epic is required. Candidates should be proficient in caring for patients undergoing total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs, as well as orthopedics trauma. Safe patient handling equipment and orthopedic equipment including CPM, knee immobilizers, and bone foam will be utilized. Daily census on the unit is approximately 31 patients. The unit supports diverse patient age groups, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available on the unit, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Pre-Approved time off is limited to one request per contract. Travelers may be floated as needed. All Registered Nurses must pass a compliance EKG exam, with two attempts allowed. Modules will be non-billable and are completed during orientation.
