Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized neonatal intensive care to high-acuity patients in a neonatal ICU setting. Deliver comprehensive care to critically ill infants from 22 weeks gestation and above, utilizing advanced medical therapies and interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor neonatal patients to identify clinical changes and respond promptly.
• Administer and manage complex therapies including total body cooling, ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide, and vasopressor infusions.
• Maintain central lines and perform neonatal resuscitation procedures as needed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Document patient care accurately and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Educate families on neonatal care procedures and provide emotional support.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with neonatal intensive care certification preferred.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in NICU or neonatal critical care.
• Proven ability to manage high-acuity, ventilated neonatal patients.
• Knowledge of advanced neonatal therapies and equipment.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including 7p-7a shifts.
