Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Flagger with traffic control certification to support our construction crews by ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians around active work zones. The Flagger will be responsible for maintaining traffic flow, protecting workers and the public, and complying with all federal, state, and local safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and control traffic around construction sites using stop/slow paddles, flags, hand signals, and other traffic control devices.
• Set up, maintain, and remove traffic control signs, cones, and barricades in accordance with safety standards and project requirements.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with construction crews, drivers, and pedestrians to minimize risk of accidents.
• Monitor traffic conditions and adjust control measures to ensure safe and efficient flow.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings at all times to protect workers, equipment, and the public.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, and state/local traffic control regulations and company safety policies.
• Report any unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately to the supervisor.
• Assist with general labor tasks as needed when traffic control duties are not required.

Qualifications:

• Valid Traffic Control/Flagger Certification (state-recognized).
• Previous experience in traffic control or construction preferred.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to give clear hand signals and directions.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and work in varying weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to all regulations.

Work Environment:

• Outdoor construction sites with exposure to traffic, dust, noise, and varying weather.
• Requires wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) such as high-visibility vests, hard hats, gloves, and safety boots.
