Senior Quality Inspector

Job Summary The QC Inspector assists with the daily activities of the Quality department based on customer requirements, performs and documents inspection operations on product throughout the manufacturing process. Responsibilities Perform receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections. Create NCRs on discrepant material/parts. Run and program CMMs; experience with Zeiss O‑inspect CMMs. Ensure all QA equipment is maintained and calibrated properly. Other duties may be assigned. Requirements Computer literate with working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook. Hands‑on experience using video system and other manual inspection tools. Ability to apply correct inspection methods and techniques to perform inspection in a timely manner. Ability to work with machinist to maximize product quality and resolve quality-related issues during the first article and in-process inspection. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Must be familiar with Mil‑Specs and customer specifications. Detail‑oriented, accurate, organized, and strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrate professional demeanor in all business aspects. Effective multi‑tasking abilities. Strong written and oral communication skills in an English‑speaking environment. Good programming skills in Zeiss CMM using Calypso software. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively with employees and write routine reports and correspondences. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in business or Quality Systems desirable; and/or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
