Description Perform laboratory technical procedures according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures Operate and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers to ensure proper functionality Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents and control Perform and document maintenance and quality control procedures on analyzers Identify and replenish testing supplies as necessary Assist with phlebotomy and processing when needed Answer phone calls, maintain logs/records, and maintain computerized databases. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care Maintain a safe work environment including wear appropriate personal protective equipment NYS License required Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better.
