Business Immigration Associate (2 years)

About the Role A Business Immigration Associate provides in‑depth immigration services to corporate clients, helping with visa petitions, compliance, and client management. Responsibilities Develop expert-level understanding of client base, industries supported, and firm’s practice areas. Develop case strategies: research, drafting, reviewing, counseling clients, and triaging initiations. Identify and solve escalations and areas of underperformance. Communicate with clients and foreign nationals regarding procedural, case processing issues, and case strategy. Support clients in immigration program management and compliance. Assess eligibility of corporate foreign national employees for non‑immigrant and immigrant visa status. Work with client global mobility personnel to prepare petitions and applications for submission to government agencies. Draft and prepare letters and legal documents based on established precedents. Conduct research to support client requests and projects. Proactively communicate within SLAs and team protocols. Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues, share information, and support client projects. Supervise junior Associates and staff, providing mentoring and coaching. Seek and implement opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and standardization. Use firm technology accurately and in line with team and client protocols. Contribute to team meetings and firm‑wide activities; ensure compliance with documented standards and policies. Other duties as required. Qualifications U.S. JD or LLM required. Member of a U.S. State bar or Washington D.C. bar association. 2‑3 years of experience at Associate level. Expanded practical understanding of immigration law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to proofread documents, draft fluent prose, and avoid grammatical mistakes without AI engines. Dedication to exceptional client service. Attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment with competing demands. Ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
