You are passionate about creating exceptional dining experiences through good, quality food. You are able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to a friendly and productive team atmosphere. Ideally, you have your ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification. Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and work areas
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Work efficiently with the team during busy service
- Assist with prep, inventory, and closing duties as needed
- Control and minimize waste
Qualifications:
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Previous experience as a restaurant cook preferred
- ServeSafe or Food Handler’s certification (or must be willing to attain)
- Familiarity with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to read, comprehend, and follow recipes
- Strong working knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and safety and sanitation practices
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to lift 30+ lbs
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
