Partnership Advisor (Major Gifts Officer)

Leadership Institute's Partnership Advisors advance this mission by building meaningful, long-term relationships between generous donors and Leadership Institute. Partnership Advisors each manage a portfolio of major donors and prospective donors and are responsible for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding those relationships with excellence. The Partnership Advisor reports to the Director of Partnerships and works in Leadership Institute's Development Department. Key Responsibilities: Partner Relationships Manage a portfolio of major donors and prospective donors, with clear annual goals for revenue, renewals, upgrades, and relationship movement. Develop an individual relationship strategy for each donor based on the donor's interests, history with Leadership Institute, and desired level of engagement. Build genuine relationships with donors through personal meetings, phone calls, correspondence, events, and other meaningful interactions. Ask donors to renew and increase their support and present larger or longer-term funding opportunities when appropriate. Provide thoughtful, timely stewardship that demonstrates the impact of each donor's partnership. Create and carry out clear moves management plans for donors at each stage of the relationship. Proactively plan and complete cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities. Prepare donor briefings, proposals, meeting strategies, and follow-up plans. Maintain accurate and timely donor records, meeting reports, next steps, and opportunities in Salesforce. Work with Leadership Institute's programs staff to understand the organization's work, results, and current funding priorities. Help translate LI programs and initiatives into clear, compelling opportunities that reflect each donor's interests. Help prepare Leadership Institute leaders and program experts for donor meetings and ensure that all follow-up commitments are completed. Represent Leadership Institute professionally at donor meetings, conferences, trainings, and special events. Qualifications 3+ years of successful fundraising, communications, organizing, or other values-based relationship-building experience. Professional experience in campaigns, congressional offices, or public policy organizations, with a strong understanding of the conservative movement. Strong understanding of major gift fundraising, moves management, donor stewardship, and portfolio management. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Impeccable integrity, with strong judgment, personal initiative, and follow-through. Ability to manage multiple donor relationships and priorities while maintaining careful attention to detail. Strong personal commitment to Leadership Institute’s mission and values. Willingness to travel regularly, approximately 30%, for donor meetings, events, and organizational priorities. Compensation and Benefits Compensation includes an anticipated starting range from $90,000 to $110,000.
