Corporate Associate

Barnes & Thornburg LLP is seeking a motivated attorney with 3+ years of corporate transactional experience to join our Ann Arbor office. This role offers the unique opportunity to work within our well established and growing aviation practice, while also supporting a broad range of aviation-related general corporate matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in corporate law and experience in or a desire to build experience in aviation-related matters within a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative team environment. Responsibilities Provide legal counsel on a wide range of aviation matters, including corporate governance, general business matters, and complex commercial agreements Support aviation-related transactional work, including advising clients on aircraft acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, financing, regulatory considerations, and ownership/operational structures Advise clients on business structuring, compliance, and other transactional issues across industries Draft and negotiate high-quality transaction documents with precision and efficiency Manage multiple matters simultaneously and deliver exceptional service to clients Collaborate effectively with colleagues across offices and practice groups Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate transactions; experience with or interest in aviation transactions is strongly valued Strong drafting, analytical, and legal research skills Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility for client matters and work both independently and within a team Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills Admission to the Michigan Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission through waiver Highly motivated, proactive, and committed to contributing to an active and expanding corporate practice About the Firm Barnes & Thornburg LLP is an AmLaw 100 firm with 26 offices.
