TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Hickory, North Carolina, 28601!

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: NC or compact license Certifications: Basic Life Support Must-Have Skills/Experience: Cerner experience IV competency Description: Travelers must start on one of the following dates: July 20th August 3rd August 17th August 31st September 14th September 28th October 12th October 26th November 9th November 16th December 7th The facility has 355 beds and serves various medical specialties including brain, cancer, heart, lung, orthopedics, general and vascular surgery, and women's health. There is a Level 3 NICU and several additional service areas including an emergency department, inpatient rehab, and a surgical suite. The adult behavioral health hospital is also part of the facility. This unit has a total of 18 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. Common cases include COPD exacerbation, GI bleed, diabetic complications, wound care, pancreatitis, sickle cell crisis, end-of-life care, falls, weakness, sepsis, and infections. Team players who are strong patient advocates are essential for this busy floor. Charge experience is preferred. Floating to surgical, neuro, and intermediate units may be required, taking medical surgical level patients. Required education includes an associate or bachelor's degree in nursing. The dress code allows any scrub color. There are no specific unacceptable attire guidelines.
