Registered Nurse - CVICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized critical care nursing to patients in the CVICU, monitoring and managing acute cardiac and neurological cases during night shifts. Ensure patient stability and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced cardiac and neuro nursing interventions to critically ill patients.
• Monitor patient vital signs and electronic health records, including Epic.
• Respond promptly to patient emergencies and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in compliance with hospital protocols.
• Adhere to safety standards, including certification and licensing requirements.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid South Carolina or Compact nursing license prior to start.
• Possess at least 1 year of hospital ICU experience, preferably 2 years.
• Be certified in ACLS and BLS; NIHSS certification preferred.
• Demonstrate experience with cardiac and neuro patient management.
• Have proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
• Be able to float within scope to meet facility needs, including other units.
