The Lockheed Martin Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) team is seeking experienced Software Engineers to be part of a team developing missile defense technology that could forever change our ability to deter and respond to adversity. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time Software Engineer. In this role, you will support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery. Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require Final Secret government security clearance prior to starting. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Basic Qualifications Experience with programming languages such as C, C++ Experience or classroom knowledge with embedded software/hardware Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Aerospace Engineering or other related degree program from an accredited college/university Desired Skills Knowledge of Agile Software Development Ability to work in a collaborative and team‑based environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE) Previous experience designing to software requirements Experience with full software life cycle development including SW design, architecture and integration & test Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a U.S. Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full‑time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Compensation and Benefits Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, or Washington DC is $134,000 - $236,325. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
