Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Sales & Estimating Professional to join our growing team.

This is a dual-role position combining:

• New business development (hunter-style sales)
• Technical estimating and field scoping

You will own the full lifecycle of restoration opportunitiesfrom initial contact and site inspection through estimate creation, insurance approval, and handoff to production.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, understands restoration workflows, and is motivated by uncapped earning potential and territory ownership.

Compensation & Earning Potential

Base + Commission

• Base Salary: $65,000
• Commission: Uncapped, based on sales and project volume

Total Compensation Range

• First-Year / Standard Performers: $65,000 $85,000+
• Strong Performers: $80,000 $120,000+
• Proven High Performers: $80,000 $120,000+ OTE (top earners consistently operate in this range and above depending on territory performance and volume)

What You'll Do

Business Development & Sales

• Identify, pursue, and close new restoration opportunities across residential and commercial markets
• Build and maintain referral relationships with:
• Insurance agents
• Property managers
• Adjusters
• Commercial and residential clients
• Develop and execute a consistent territory-based sales strategy
• Represent the company at networking events, trade shows, and industry functions
• Maintain a strong and active pipeline of new business

Technical Scoping & Estimating

• Perform on-site inspections for water, fire, mold, and storm damage
• Create detailed estimates using Xactimate (DocuSketch preferred)
• Develop accurate and complete scopes of work aligned with insurance and production requirements
• Ensure estimates are both precise and profitable
• Secure approvals and signed work authorizations

Insurance & Client Management

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and insurance adjusters
• Clearly explain restoration processes to non-technical stakeholders
• Negotiate scope and estimate approvals with carriers when needed
• Ensure smooth transition from sales to production teams

Production Collaboration

• Work closely with Project Managers and field operations teams
• Ensure scopes are clearly communicated and executable
• Maintain consistent communication throughout project lifecycle
• Support on-time, high-quality project delivery

Performance Expectations

• Meet or exceed revenue and sales targets
• Track key metrics including:
• Lead-to-contract conversion rate
• Estimate accuracy
• Project profitability
• Operate independently with strong self-management in the field

Schedule & Work Environment

• Full-time, 8-hour shifts (MondayFriday)
• Evenings/weekends as needed for emergency scoping
• On-call rotation may be required
• Field-based role: office + job sites throughout Portland Metro & SW Washington

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in active job sites, including attics and crawl spaces
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in field environments

Qualifications

• 3+ years of B2B or outside sales experience in the restoration industry
• Strong proficiency in Xactimate required
• DocuSketch experience strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to manage a fast-moving, field-based schedule
• Highly organized and self-directed
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
