About the Position

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly lead to a cancellation and DNR. Patient ratios are 1:6. All applicants are required to float as needed. Travelers are expected to work 5-6 weekend shifts, equating to every other weekend. Contract staff may be assigned and expected to work in emergency situations, such as catastrophic events or disasters. The daily patient census averages around 24 patients. Interdisciplinary support includes various medical teams such as IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams. Patient diagnoses are focused on general medicine, with an emphasis on neurology. Preferred skills include NIH and neuro experience, as well as experience or a willingness to learn the charge nurse role. Applicants must meet behavioral expectations in all interactions with patients and staff.
