We are looking for a part-time employee to work in the night shift at our Marlton location. The position involves performing clerical and secretarial duties on the unit, preparing and maintaining patient and operational records, and assisting with coordination of patient flow, unit rounding, and visitor security.

Position responsibilities include processing and maintaining clerical information on the unit, responding to, screening, and referring telephone messages and requests regarding patient information and unit operation to the appropriate personnel, maintaining patient's electronic medical record, ensuring completeness and accuracy of patient charts and records, communicating consults by contacting providers, and facilitating admission, discharge, transfer status, assisting with coordination of patient flow including coordination of patient transportation to external facilities or discharge to home, maintaining supplies, equipment, and placing orders for service, coordinating with Environmental Support Services as required.

Position qualifications required include basic computer skills (word processing, data entry), with the ability to quickly learn and become proficient using unit computer systems. Understanding/familiarity of medical terminology or the ability to quickly learn in order to process and maintain accurate medical records. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to communicate clearly, effectively, tactfully, and courteously with customers and staff on all levels. Ability to multi-task effectively. 1-2 years secretarial or administrative assistant experience in a medical setting is preferred. Required education is a high school graduate or equivalent. Additional coursework in the medical support field is preferred.

The hourly rate for this position is $18.69 - $26.01. The actual salary/rate will vary based on the applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
