House Supervisor - Registered Nurse

Job Description

The House Supervisor is a key leadership role responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health through daily management and long-term planning of patient care. This includes directing and developing nursing staff, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, and providing comprehensive support for patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Develop staff through training, coaching, and evaluating their performance.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient needs and improve service delivery.
• Maintain compliance with state nursing board regulations and internal policies.
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor expenditures to adhere to financial standards.
• Facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team and with patients.
• Develop and implement infection control policies and protocols.
• Participate in professional development and maintain high standards of nursing practice.

Schedule

This position operates on a 19:00-07:00 shift, providing comprehensive care during the night hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license, with preference for multi-state licenses.
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP & TNCC certifications required (must be through the American Heart Association).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a House Supervisor in a hospital setting.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
