The Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) team works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep automated material handling equipment (MHE) running smoothly. About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician you will support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment, mentor junior technicians, and help improve efficiency. Starting pay for this position is 31.00–32.00USD per hour at the USA, IN, Greenfield site. Key Job Responsibilities Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures. Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities. Move up to 49lbs, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12hours, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma. 1+ year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications. Willingness to work a flexible schedule/shift, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls. 2+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience. 2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of experience demonstrating safety standards. 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing MHE. Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. 2+ years of experience with electrical and electronic principles. Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. 2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience.
