Radiology Transporter

Job OpportunityTransports patients from various hospital departments to and from the Diagnostic Services Department.Minimum QualificationsEducation, Certification, and/or Licensure:High School graduate or equivalentCPR certification within 90 days of hire.Preferred QualificationsEducation, Certification, and/or Licensure:Successful completion of a patient care aide- training program or equivalent.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Department.Utilizes RIS to properly check-in and check-out patients.Demonstrates basic knowledge of IVAC pumps, drainage devices, catheters, restraints and oxygen tanks.Demonstrates proficiency with regards to stretchers/carts, wheelchairs, O2 tanks, transfer devices and personal protective equipment.Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to communicate and provide a safe environment for infants, pediatric, Adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
