Senior Sales Engineer

Overview See yourself at Dataminr. As a Sales Engineer, you will be a trusted advisor to Account Executives, the Product team, and current and future customers across the US and Canada. You will serve as a security‑focused technical liaison and subject‑matter expert on all things Dataminr, developing and sharing compelling stories that excite customers. This role can be based anywhere remote in the Northeast US, with preferred locations between Philadelphia and Boston. AI Innovation at Dataminr Work with cutting‑edge AI including Regenerative AI (ReGenAI), Agentic AI, and Multimodal AI that detects events from images, video, sensor data, audio, and text in over 150 languages. The Opportunity Technical Sales & Solution Leadership Lead the technical sales process, guiding customers through architecture discussions, evaluations, and technical decision‑making. Translate customer security challenges into solution designs that deliver measurable outcomes. Deliver tailored demonstrations, workshops, and Proof of Value (POV)/Proof of Concept (POC) engagements that showcase real‑world use cases and business impact. Security Operations & Threat Intelligence Expertise Subject‑matter expert in SOC, threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident response, SOAR, risk analysis, and quantification. Advise customers on modernizing security operations through intelligence‑driven workflows, automation, and best practices. Lead technical discussions on emerging threats, adversary tradecraft, and evolving security operations strategies. Solution Engineering & Technical Consulting Design and demonstrate integrated cybersecurity solutions leveraging SIEM, SOAR, TIP, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and cloud security platforms. Build and customize integrations, workflows, and automations using APIs, Python, and other scripting technologies. Provide technical guidance on platform architecture and integration with existing security ecosystems. Maintain knowledge of competitive technologies and industry trends to position solutions effectively. What You Bring 7+ years of cybersecurity experience in SOC, threat intelligence, incident response, threat hunting, or SOAR. 3+ years in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or customer‑facing technical consulting role. Strong knowledge of threat intelligence methodologies, MITRE ATT&CK, adversary TTPs, incident response, and risk management practices. Hands‑on experience with SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, TIP, vulnerability management, and cloud security solutions. Experience building integrations and automations using Python, Java, APIs, or similar technologies. Exceptional communication and presentation skills across technical and executive stakeholders. Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, and SANS are a plus. Benefits & Compensation Annual base salary range: $106,800–$157,500. Eligible for a discretionary bonus and company equity.
