Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN

Position Overview The Outpatient RN CAP 1 is an entry-level role responsible for delivering and coordinating clinically competent care for patients, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. The nurse may delegate tasks to care staff and collaborates with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes and facility operations. Key Responsibilities Perform patient assessments and document data before, during, and after hemodialysis treatments, adjusting plans as needed. Provide patient and family education on treatments and transplant options. Administer medications, assist with emergencies, and ensure proper laboratory procedures. Support staff training, participate in quality improvement activities, and collaborate on patient care plans. Supervise or oversee other care staff as assigned, after meeting experience and training requirements. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure. CPR/BLS certification required. Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology experience; hemodialysis experience preferred. Physical ability to perform patient lifting, standing, and equipment handling. Strong teamwork, communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
