LVN/RN Charge Nurse FT Nights ** $4,000 SIGN ON BONUS **

Job Purpose To provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practices and regulations. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities Nursing Care: Prepare and review medical records and nurse’s notes, assess residents, monitor activity, evaluate nursing care, provide nursing care per orders, coordinate admissions, transfers, discharge, transcribe orders, communicate with residents, family, interdisciplinary team, and management regarding resident status. Drug Administration and Documentation: Prepare and administer medications per physician orders, sign, date, and perform charting and record keeping per policies. Direct Patient Care: Lead and monitor licensed and other professionals, schedule assignments, set priorities, assist and coach, provide feedback, serve as team leader. Resident Rights: Understand, comply with, and promote rules regarding residents’ rights. Care Plans: Assist and participate in developing and implementing written care plans addressing residents’ needs. Staff Development: Participate in in‑service training, assist in orientation programs, job skills training, maintain professional competence. Safety and Sanitation: Monitor environment, ensure compliance of safety, fire, disaster, infection control policies, maintain cleanliness and safety. Other Duties: Other duties as assigned. Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical device) Works in a climate‑controlled, well‑lighted environment; works in an office and building daily; category 1 risk exposure; trained in handwashing, universal precautions; uses PPE when needed; subject to interruptions, noise, odors. Requires walking, reaching, climbing, bending, lifting, grasping, fine coordination, pushing and pulling, sensory discrimination, communication, ability to understand and follow training, instruct staff, remain calm under stress. Qualifications Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, currently licensed by the State. Experience as a Charge Nurse or supervisory experience preferred. Must be CPR Certified. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey, explain, interpret complex info. Ability to complete required continuing education hours. Ability to build and maintain relationships, coordinate plans, distribute information, develop knowledge base for rules, adhere to regulations, maintain attendance.
