Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Clinical Research Trial

Position Summary:

RD Nutrition Consultants is seeking a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) for a flexible hybrid role supporting a clinical research study. This position focuses on providing structured nutrition and lifestyle counseling to adult participants with obesity/overweight and Type 2 Diabetes enrolled in a 72-week medication-based research program.

Position Details:

• Participant Load: 510 active participants
  

• Visit Schedule: Diet and physical activity counseling at each protocol visit from V2 (Week 0) through V-FU per Protocol Section 1.2; approximately every four (4) weeks through Week 32 then at longer protocol-defined intervals
  
• Diet and physical activity counseling at each protocol visit from V2
  

• Compensation: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour across all billable hours (per patient visits admin time and completed training)
  

• Scheduling: Flexible scheduling within protocol-defined visit windows (3 to 7 days).
  

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver standardized diet and physical activity counseling to study participants in accordance with protocol Section 4.3.
  

• Conduct initial in-person visits (Weeks 08) and seamlessly transition participants to virtual/telehealth visits starting at Week 12.
  

• Reinforce healthy diet physical activity goals and study adherence at required protocol visit intervals.
  

• Review participant progress and self-reported lifestyle modifications during scheduled encounters.
  

• Complete PDF progress notes on the same day as patient visits and submit via secure email.
  

• Enter documentation directly into the Javara eSource system as required (system training provided).
  

• Promptly report any protocol deviations orally within 12 hours followed by written documentation.
  

• Maintain ongoing communication with study coordinators and research staff to ensure study compliance.
  

Qualifications:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  

• Active Registered Dietitian licensure in the state of Minnesota required.
  

• Demonstrated experience in weight management Type 2 Diabetes management or lifestyle modification counseling.
  

• Proficiency or comfort with Telehealth technology and electronic source (eSource) documentation systems.
  

• Strong organizational skills with strict adherence to clinical trial protocols and documentation deadlines.
  

• Reliable transportation for initial on-site clinic visits in Mankato MN and a secure device setup for remote telehealth sessions.
