This is a hands-on role requiring attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, and a strong work ethic.Technical training will be provided on the job; prior experience is not required. The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work both independently and as part of a team under the direction of on-site Salute Leadership.Our team handles a wide range of technical projects, with a primary focus on rack movements at this site. Our current work includes unloading, staging, and securing racks, ensuring they are properly leveled. Some projects may require additional training, such as cabling, etc.The primary work site is in Boydton, VA.Responsibilities:Install, route, and secure structured cabling according to project specificationsAssist with server rack deployments and related hardware setupFollow safety protocols and company procedures at all timesMaintain a clean and organized work environmentComplete tasks assigned by the Team Lead in a timely and accurate mannerSupport quality assurance efforts by adhering to installation standardsCommunicate clearly and respectfully with team members and supervisorsAbility to follow precise instructionsPerform material movement including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard processPerform Data Center pre-cabling to industry standardsDetailed physical inventory tracking and stagingTimely responsiveness via MS Outlook, MS Teams, text, and/or phoneRequirements:Knowledge of how to properly utilize power tools is requiredAbility to read and understand cabling mapsAbility to work at different heights, in confined spaces, and on different surfacesAbility to use mobile application technologyProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Gain proficiency in workplace IT systems for reporting, timecards, expense entry, and the execution of project tasks. Examples SalesForce, ADP, Expensify)Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipmentAbility to stand for long periods of time in various work environmentsAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasksBasic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations and navigate areas quicklyAbility to move quickly and efficiently within various work environments to troubleshoot issues or respond to emergencies.Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectorsClear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and precision while wearing safety glassesAbility to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cablesAbility to work in environments with a wide variety of temperature inside a facilityAbility to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snowCapability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protectionPossession of a valid driver's license for work-related travel, as requiredTravel Opportunities: Travel requirements will vary depending on client's needs and project demands. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of what we reasonably expect to pay upon hire, based on factors such as skills, experience, education, and market/location. Our comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), gym discount, mental health, Discounted Group Life & AD&D, Discounted Group Short & Long-term Disability, 401(k) retirement matching, PTO/paid holidays, and parental leave. This posted hourly rate is the final rate of pay for the position, based on job-related factors consistent with applicable law.
