Medical Technologist (MT) - Day Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a certified Medical Technologist (MT) or certification eligible professional to perform and interpret laboratory tests at all complexity levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of the theory and scientific principles underlying laboratory testing, as well as the technical, procedural, and problem-solving aspects of the role.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret laboratory tests at all complexity levels.
• Ensure the validity of test results and determine the need for additional tests.
• Monitor and verify quality controls and standards.
• Correlate abnormal laboratory data with pathological states.
• Communicate test results, reference ranges, and specimen requirements to authorized individuals.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical, or medical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• Active certification as an MT or certification eligible from ASCP or AMT.
• A minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty is required.
• Must possess a permanent Ohio license in hand at the time of submission (compact licenses accepted for starts on or after January 1, 2023).

Schedule

This position operates on a Day 5x8-Hour schedule from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM.
