Animal Control Technician - PRN (as needed)
City of Paris, TX
This position requires the maintenance and care of the Animal Shelter and animals. Provides assistance to the Animal Control Officers when needed. This position will work as needed to fill in for vacations, sick time, etc. so there will not be a guarantee of hours.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Answers telephone and assists the public which requires responding to questions regarding the shelter and animal control procedures. Provides care for shelter animals by cleaning, disinfecting kennel runs, cages and other areas of the shelter and providing food and water to animals. May be required to assist with the euthanasia of animals. Provides assistance to the public with animal intake and adoption by completing appropriate paperwork and showing animals. Completes reports utilizing Computer Aided Dispatch system. Provides tours of the shelter. Accurately accounts for monies and items subject to inventory.
