• 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $30 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the maintenance, repair, and continuous operation of utility systems, production equipment, and facility machinery within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for performing preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, repairing equipment, and ensuring all utility systems operate safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has experience in food or beverage manufacturing, strong mechanical aptitude, and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime while maintaining compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform daily maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on machinery, tools, utility systems, and production equipment
• Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues safely and efficiently
• Maintain and repair utility systems including compressed air, boilers, power house equipment, water treatment systems (WTP), purified water systems, wastewater treatment systems (WWTP), and HVAC equipment
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and equipment documentation
• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Follow all GMP, food safety, manufacturing, and workplace safety standards
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvement projects
• Assist with training team members on maintenance procedures and best practices
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to ensure efficient operations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform additional maintenance duties and respond to emergency equipment issues as needed.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or hands-on experience in mechanics, electrical, plumbing, or welding preferred
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments, preferably within the food or beverage industry, with knowledge of utility systems, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and schematics, use hand tools safely, and work with PLCs, HVAC systems, or similar industrial equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in hot and cold environments, participate in shift schedules or emergency on-call coverage, and work effectively as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with GMPs and workplace safety procedures, and bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
