We're partnering with a fast-growing AI technology company developing software solutions for organisations operating in complex, technical environments.

\n

\n

They're expanding their engineering team and looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to work directly with enterprise customers, understand their operational challenges and build AI-powered software that delivers measurable results.

\n

\n

This is a hands-on engineering role combining full-stack development, applied AI and direct customer engagement, with ownership from initial discovery through to production.

\n

\n

What You’ll Do

\n

\n
• Build and ship production software that solves real customer problems, using modern full-stack technologies, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
\n
• Work directly with customers to understand their workflows, uncover technical challenges and identify opportunities for AI and automation.
\n
• Own projects end-to-end , from discovery and technical scoping through to development, deployment and iteration.
\n
• Develop AI-powered solutions , including LLM applications, RAG systems, AI agents and workflow automation where appropriate.
\n
• Make technical and product decisions , turning ambiguous requirements into practical, scalable solutions.
\n
• Collaborate with stakeholders , gathering feedback, troubleshooting production issues and shaping future product development.

What We’re Looking For

\n

\n
• 5+ years of software engineering experience , ideally building full-stack products in production environments.
\n
• Strong experience with modern web technologies, APIs and cloud infrastructure.
\n
• Experience building AI/LLM applications, RAG systems, AI agents or automation solutions.
\n
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in ambiguous environments.
\n
• Confidence communicating directly with customers, including non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Experience in a startup, founding engineering team or forward-deployed environment is particularly valuable.
\n
• Willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
\n
