We are a professional and agile organization committed to delivering high-quality academic and therapeutic programming that supports meaningful learning outcomes.Two distinct programs designed to meet the needs of diverse learners:PreK–8 Academic Program Grounded in Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching Focus on core skills: reading, writing, mathematics Explicit, systematic teaching emphasizing mastery, fluency, and generalization Suited for students with learning disabilities and neurodiverse profiles who benefit from structured, data-driven instructionClinical ABA Program (Ages 3–13) Cognition-linguistically based approach focusing on cognitive skills and social behavior Integrates Applied Behavior Analysis with language development, reasoning, executive functioning, and social competence Individualized, data-driven instruction to build foundational learning, communication, and independenceAcross ExcelPrep programs, we center on:Direct Instruction and instructional designPrecision Teaching and data-based decision makingInstruction grounded in behavior science researchOccupational Therapy as a prioritized therapy alongside ABA to support sensory-motor developmentPosition OverviewRole: After School Program Coordinator Location: Champaign, IL Reports to: Program Director / Principal Type: Part-time, afternoons (school year)We seek a collaborative, organized, and compassionate leader to coordinate and oversee after-school programming for neurodiverse learners. The ideal candidate will have experience with structured instructional approaches, strong data-tracking skills, and a passion for supporting both academic and social development in diverse learners.ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day operations of after-school programming for PreK–8 Academic Program and Clinical ABA ProgramImplement structured, data-driven instruction aligned with Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, and ABA methodologiesMonitor and document student progress; maintain and utilize data dashboards to inform instructional decisionsSupervise and schedule program staff (tutors, therapy aides, and volunteers); provide coaching and feedbackCoordinate with occupational therapy and ABA staff to align goals and integrate therapeutic activitiesPlan and lead enrichment, social-emotional learning, and age-appropriate activities for ages 3–13Ensure safety, behavior management, and an inclusive, welcoming environment; enforce policies and respond to incidentsCommunicate with families about student progress, schedules, and program events; manage attendance and enrollment recordsManage program logistics (materials, space setup, snack, equipment) and assist with transportation coordination as neededParticipate in ongoing program evaluation and quality improvement initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (master's degree preferred)Experience working with neurodiverse learners; familiarity with ABA, Direct Instruction, and Precision Teaching is a plusStrong organizational and data-management skills; experience with progress monitoring and data dashboards preferredExcellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to supervise staff, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environmentCommitment to safety, inclusivity, and creating a nurturing learning environmentSpanish or other language skills are a plus, but not requiredSchedule & LocationAfternoon hours during the school year (typical window: 2:30–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday; some flexibility for occasional events)On-site at ExcelPrep School, Champaign, ILCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceBenefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance; retirement plan optionsPaid time off and holidays; professional development opportunitiesA supportive, mission-driven culture focused on growth and collaborationHow to ApplyPlease apply through Indeed with your resume and a cover letter outlining your experience with neurodiverse learners, structured instruction, and data-driven program coordination.In your cover letter, include a brief statement about your approach to building a supportive after-school environment for diverse learners.Equal Opportunity EmployerExcelPrep is an equal opportunity employer.
