Build the equipment that builds our roads

Step into a hands-on role where you’ll assemble and weld structural components that form complete asphalt plant systems and related equipment. Your day starts at the bench with blueprints and WPS in hand, moves to precise fit-up, and finishes with clean, consistent welds that require minimal post-grinding.

A day in the life

• Review drawings, weld symbols, and WPS before setting up your station.
• Fit and weld metal parts for asphalt plant equipment with a quality-first mindset.
• Run GMAW (MIG) and FCAW processes confidently; verify parameters and ensure the machine is dialed in for the material and position.
• Inspect material for smoothness and joint acceptability prior to striking an arc.
• Produce accurate, repeatable welds designed to minimize post-grinding and rework.
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts safely to position heavy components.
• Wear the right PPE at all times, including welding hood with correct filter shade and arm/body protection; follow all safety procedures without exception.
• Support production needs—overtime, including weekends, may be required as necessary.

What you bring

• Proven ability to weld properly and safely using GMAW and FCAW.
• Fluency in reading blueprints and interpreting welding symbols.
• Fit-up knowledge and skill to prepare high-quality joints.
• Comfort and certification-level skill operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Ability to pass a welding skills test.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
