Program Support Assistant (Time Keeper)

The Incumbent will serve substantial responsibilities relating to payroll and leave functions for nursing service employees and will be accountable for maintaining accurate and complete records, preparation of overtime and leave exception reports, training of supervisors on payroll processes, and coordination with Human Resources Management Service and Fiscal Service to assure integrity of reporting processes. Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Time Keeping: Post schedules, leave and other changes to timekeeping record in accordance with policy and procedure
• Reporting: Completes actions on reports tracking documents, data and statistical information.
• Information Management: Performs work related to the acquisition and/or development of program information and resource materials to support policy development and staff education.
• Employee Clearance: Maintains and tracks administrative clearances related to employee departures or employee realignments in relation to timekeeping systems
• Acu-Staf: Utilizes Acu-Staf and Gov TA timekeeping program and provides Education to users.
• Communication: Maintains effective written and verbal communication with employees ranging from front line staff to service chief level.
• Performs maintenance on databases, independently resolves technical equipment/problems as able, and escalates as necessary (e.g., contacting Financial Services Center).
• Utilizes Acu-staf to program to post time, TOD (Tour of Duty) and track information for use in staffing methodology
• Verbalizes and demonstrates skills for timekeeping, enter and posting TOD, post OT/CT, check leave balances, check for payroll exceptions.
• Exhibits initiative by managing time and workload in an organized and efficient manner to meet specific deadlines and changing priorities.
• Maintains contacts with patients, staff and other individual within and outside the medical in a concerned, compassionate, respectful and helpful manner.
• Able to use multiple information sources considering the applicability of information and characteristics and quality of the sources to prepare reports
