Shipping and Receiving Lead

· The objective of the Lead is to be able to communicate effectively to the people
to ensure all customer specifications are being met, the line is running
efficient to ensure yield and production goals are met. Must be able to
effectively communicate to both employees and supervision.

Examples:

• Follows direction of shipping manager to assign and instruct personnel of daily production duties.
• Support daily shipping and receiving tasks.
• Coordinate with local third parties including trucking companies, raw material warehouse personnel, distribution centers, vendors, etc.
• Communicate delays or issues to internal teams.
• Liaise with other departments including operations and quality to align on processes.
• Check incoming deliveries for accuracy and report discrepancies.
• Develop new processes to clear roadblocks and enable the team to work more efficiently.
• Create SOPs for new procedures and ensure team is adhering to them.
• Coordinate all forklift maintenance services.
• Backfill Dock Coordinator and Customer Service Representative Team members as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates
• Training and motivating team members
• Train new employees and coach existing employees
• Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines.
• Enforce all safety and processing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions & policies.
• Able to work in a team atmosphere and possess good leadership skills.

Physical Requirement:

• Must be able to obtain a forklift and pallet jack license

• Standing and/or walking during the entire shift.

• Requires considerable reaching, lifting,

• Work in wet, cold environment.
