About the Opportunity:
A global leader in energy storage and renewable technology is seeking a Global Benefits Operations Manager to support the design, administration, and optimization of enterprise-wide benefits programs. This is a highly operational, hands-on role partnering closely with global HR leadership to ensure benefits programs are competitive, compliant, scalable, and deliver an exceptional employee experience.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys balancing strategic benefits oversight with day-to-day operational execution, and has experience managing complex global benefits programs across multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs including:
- Medical
- Pharmacy
- Dental
- Vision
- Life Insurance
- Disability
- EAP
- Ancillary benefit programs
- Retirement program administration
- Serve as the primary point of contact for insurance brokers, carriers, TPAs, and external benefits vendors
- Monitor vendor performance, claims issues, escalations, and service delivery to ensure strong employee support
- Partner cross-functionally with HRIS, Payroll, Finance, Risk Management, and HR leadership to maintain seamless benefits administration and accurate employee data
- Oversee benefits eligibility management, payroll deductions, reconciliation, and data integrity across HR systems
- Support annual open enrollment including:
- Employee communications
- Vendor coordination
- System testing
- Enrollment audits
- Post-enrollment reconciliation
- Develop employee-facing benefits communications including guidebooks, newsletters, online resources, and orientation materials
- Provide direct support to employees on complex benefits questions, claims issues, eligibility concerns, and policy interpretation
- Analyze benefits program performance, utilization trends, benchmarking data, and cost metrics to recommend improvements
- Support benefits accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting activities
- Manage audit controls related to benefits administration including leave-related deductions, retirement plan reconciliations, and payroll accuracy
- Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations including:
- ERISA
- ACA
- COBRA
- HIPAA
- Section 125
- IRS / Department of Labor requirements
- Annual 5500 filings
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field plus a minimum of five years of benefits-related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of benefits administration / benefits operations experience
- Strong experience managing enterprise benefits programs
- Experience supporting global benefits administration
- Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and governance
- Experience managing brokers, carriers, TPAs, and vendor relationships
- Experience with benefits audits, reporting, and compliance reviews
- Strong understanding of:
- ERISA
- ACA
- COBRA
- HIPAA
- Section 125
- 401(k) administration
- Experience in Workday or similar HRIS platforms
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret benefits data and drive recommendations
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Experience
- ADP Workforce Now benefits administration experience
- Benefits certifications such as:
