Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide compassionate patient care in a busy Medical Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical skills and a collaborative approach to the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with medical, surgical, or orthopedic conditions.
• Collaborate with physicians, PCA Techs, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatments as needed.
• Document patient information accurately within the electronic health record system.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, including BLS and COVID vaccination requirements.
• Float within Med/Surg units as needed to support staffing demands.

Qualifications:

• Valid NY RN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.
• Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
