Admissions Counselor

The University of South Dakota Office of Admissions is seeking an energetic, goal-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our team as an Admissions Counselor.

Responsibilities:

• Guide prospective students and families through the college search and admissions process
• Represent USD at on-campus and off-campus recruitment events
• Assist students with financial aid and scholarship questions
• Present information about USD to prospective students and groups
• Use Salesforce and other software systems to manage recruitment activities
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support enrollment goals
• Evaluate prospective student applications and participate in admission decisions
• Travel as needed for recruitment and outreach

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• Valid driver's license required
• Admissions or related experience preferred
• Knowledge of USD's campus, academic programs, and admission standards is a plus
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Creative approach to building relationships with prospective students
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
