Job Title: Pediatrician (MD)

Location: Brooklyn, New York
Reports To: Medical Director

Position Description

Under the supervision of the Medical Director, the Pediatrician will provide comprehensive, community-based primary care to infants, children, and adolescents in an patient-centered setting. This role is ideal for a physician who is passionate about delivering equitable care and building long-term relationships with patients and families.

The Pediatrician will serve a diverse, underserved population and play a key role in addressing social determinants of health. Success in this role requires adaptability, strong clinical judgment, and a genuine commitment to hands-on, patient-centered care in a resource-conscious environment.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide full-scope pediatric primary care, including preventive visits, acute care, and chronic disease management.
• Manage a consistent patient panel with an emphasis on continuity of care and long-term health outcomes.
• Conduct thorough assessments and make independent clinical decisions across a wide range of pediatric conditions.
• Provide clear, practical health education to patients and caregivers, often tailoring guidance to varying levels of health literacy.
• Collaborate closely with nursing, care coordination, and behavioral health teams to support whole person care.
• Take ownership of follow-up care, including labs, referrals, and hospital transitions.
• Participating in immunization initiatives and community health efforts
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR.
• Contribute to Quality Improvement initiatives focused on access, outcomes, and patient engagement.
• Supervise and support advanced practice providers and clinical staff as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven culture.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Certification

• MD from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Active New York State medical license and DEA registration
• BLS or PALS certification

Experience

• Experience in community health, outpatient primary care, or similar settings strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in working with underserved or high need populations.
• Comfortable practicing broad-spectrum pediatrics without reliance on extensive subspecialty support
