Salary: $143,400 - 143,400 per year Requirements:

• We require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We require 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling considerations.
• We require 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role.
• We require 1+ years of experience designing and building large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• We require 1+ years of object-oriented design experience.
• We require a bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• We require experience programming in at least one software language.
• We prefer 3+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• We prefer a bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.

• We design, develop, and support highly available, scalable distributed systems for our Malware Protection and Runtime Monitoring services.
• We build and operate metadata services that enrich data for our internal GuardDuty teams.
• We own and improve the runtime agent provisioning and agent coverage platform across AWS compute services.
• We deliver features end to end across the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operations.
• We use AI-assisted development tools to speed up design, coding, testing, code review, and operational workflows while maintaining a high quality bar.
• We write testable, high-quality code and take part in design and code reviews, using AI tooling to improve efficiency and consistency without compromising correctness or security.
• We troubleshoot complex production issues and lead root cause analysis and operational excellence efforts.
• We collaborate with security engineers, applied scientists, and product managers to define technical solutions.
• We mentor junior engineers on engineering best practices, including responsible and effective use of AI tooling, and help shape team standards.
• We contribute to operational excellence through on-call rotations, runbook creation, and system monitoring.
