Our Memory Makers are the driving force that has led us to being the largest and fastest growing Ashley Furniture licensee in the U.S. and landing us on the Top Places to Work list two years in a row in our industry.At a GlanceBroad River Retail is currently hiring for multiple roles within one of our Distribution Centers to join our Operations Team.Furniture Equipment OperatorThe Furniture Equipment Operator is responsible for operating an RF scanner for movement of product within the warehouse. Safely operate all material handling equipment and stock picker lift. Safely load and unload products for distribution, customer pick up and or storage.Furniture HandlerThe Furniture Handler is responsible for unloading and loading furniture, scanning products into our warehouse's inventory control system, and assessing merchandise for damages to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.Furniture Prep & AssemblerThe Furniture Prep & Assembler is responsible for assembling pieces of furniture to ensure excellent product quality before being delivered to the customer.Day in the Life as This Memory MakerDepending on the role you are hired for, job duties may entail:Loading & unloading trucks at the warehouse loading dock without damaging products.Unload furniture manually or with hand trucks.Identify and communicate any physical damages.Sort unloaded items onto carts by size, type, or product code.Use RF scanner to systematically receive inventory.Maintain building, grounds, and equipment cleanliness.Exhibit personal excellence by accepting cross-training opportunities.Maintain personal and facility safety by following all material handling and warehouse safety guidelines.Operating recycling machinery.Sorting and processing dunnage.Follow company attendance policy.All other duties as assigned.Workplace EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is:Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch on concrete flooring.Must be able to routinely lift or move objects up to 75 pounds alone and team lift objects over 75 pounds.Working in a non-climate-controlled warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), reasonable accommodations may be made to empower individuals with disabilities to undertake the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.Memory Maker Perks and BenefitsHourly rate of $15/hr-$16/hr based on factors such as shift and location.
