Are you a Communicative Disorders graduate starting your CFY (Clinical Fellowship)? Yes? Then we want you on our team! PACE is a non‑public K‑12 School with campuses in Sunnyvale and Santa Clara, CA serving students with autism. PACE SLP caseloads are generally 12‑18 cases. Our PACE Speech Language Pathologist will provide the supervision required for you to successfully complete your CFY. Our SLPs are primarily responsible for providing specialized services to students in the PACE school who have Individualized Education Plan (IEP) requirements for SLP support. Primary Responsibilities Conduct assessments and write comprehensive school‑based reports Consult and collaborate with parent/teacher/IEP team regarding service delivery modifications, accommodations and/or generalization of skills Requirements Knowledge, Skill and Experience Age 21 years of age or older Education Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology Certifications: A valid California RPE license Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including speaking, writing, listening, motivating, inspiring, collaborating, delegating. Self‑starter and team player. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and follow‑up with multiple, simultaneous projects. Technical Skills: Proficiency in understanding and utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) methods. Physical Requirements Pushing, Pulling and Lifting – The individual must be able to lift and or push at least 35lbs. with assistance in order to carry necessary presentation materials or specialized equipment to external sites on occasion. Must be able to physically bend, squat, reach over shoulders, reach over head, reach outward, kneel, sit, walk on normal, slippery, or uneven surfaces and stand. Student Behavior Management: PACE provides training to safely manage student behaviors and redirect students as needed. Office Work – This position requires that the SLP be able to conduct a variety of office work including typing on a computer.
