Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care (Night Shift)

Location: Eureka, Kansas, United States
Duration: 13 Weeks Contract
Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Facility: Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct resident care in a long-term care setting. The role involves working independently during night shifts while ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and accurate clinical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing facility
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient conditions and report changes to appropriate medical staff
Maintain accurate documentation using Point Click Care (PCC)
Supervise and support resident care activities during shift
Perform nursing procedures such as wound care, catheter care, and specimen collection
Take and record vital signs (BP, TPR, etc.)
Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
Maintain communication with healthcare team as needed
Handle care responsibilities independently during night shift coverage
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Active LPN License (Kansas or compact state)
Graduation from an approved LPN program
BLS/CPR Certification required
IV Certification preferred
Strong ability to work independently (single nurse coverage setting)
Experience in long-term care preferred
Strong clinical judgment and documentation skills
