Safety, sustainability, and exceptional service are at the core of everything we do.*This role is located in our Kansas City, Kansas office Monday through FridayPosition Summary:The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the full-cycle accounts payable process and supporting Senior Accounting Administrators by ensuring daily accounting activities are completed accurately and efficiently. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage high-volume invoice processing while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The Senior AP Specialist serves as a key resource for resolving discrepancies, improving AP processes, and providing guidance and training on AP systems and procedures.Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the full-cycle Accounts Payable process.Review, code, and process high volumes of vendor invoices accurately and timely.Verify invoice details, ensure proper cost allocations, confirm three-way match requirements, and obtain appropriate approvals prior to processing.Process vendor invoices using Sage X3 accounting software.Collaborate with company locations and the AP team to research, verify, and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies.Mentor, train, and assist team members with AP-related ERP systems and document management system updates.Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues.Analyze and reconcile designated general ledger accounts.Maintain accurate records and support month-end and audit-related activities as needed.Assist with additional accounting and departmental responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications:RequiredHigh School diploma required.1-3 years of Accounts Payable, book keeping, accounting, or related experienceStrong understanding of basic accounting principles and chart of accounts.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional degree of accuracy, attention to detail, time management and organizational skillsFamiliar with accounting ERP systems is highly valuedExperience with Microsoft ExcelPreferredAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or BusinessProficiency with accounting systems; experience with Sage X3 preferredWork Environment:In office Monday to Friday5200 Speaker Rd, Kansas City, KSPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit and work at a computer workstation for extended periods.Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other office equipment.Ability to maintain regular attendance and work in a fast-paced office environment with multiple deadlines and priorities.Why Join Harcros Chemicals?Employee-owned company where your contributions drive shared successCompetitive pay, bonus opportunities, and vehicle/car allowances for eligible rolesComprehensive benefits, including multiple medical plan options, disability coverage, AD&D, and life insuranceStrong retirement benefits with ESOP participation, 401(k) and Roth options, company contributions, and early vestingAccess to Lyra mental health and wellness resources for employees and dependents starting day oneSupportive, team-focused culture that values collaboration and growth10 paid holidays, including one floating holidayOpportunity to build a meaningful career with a company committed to excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
