Are you a compassionate Spanish-speaking Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who genuinely enjoys working with children, celebrating their progress, and helping them develop new skills?

Serenity at Heart is looking for a dependable and caring RBT who is fluent in Spanish and enjoys being part of a child’s developmental journey.

This position is more than simply completing a shift. We are looking for someone who can build a positive and trusting relationship with the child and family, provide consistency and encouragement, and take pride in seeing progress happen over time.

What You'll Do

As an RBT with Serenity at Heart, you will work directly with a child to provide individualized behavioral and developmental support while following the child’s approved treatment and support plans.

Responsibilities may include:

• Providing one-on-one behavioral and developmental support.
• Communicating effectively with the child and family in Spanish.
• Implementing strategies established by the supervising BCBA or other authorized clinical professional.
• Helping the child develop communication, social, emotional, behavioral, and daily living skills.
• Using positive reinforcement to encourage appropriate behaviors and skill development.
• Supporting routines, transitions, and age-appropriate activities.
• Encouraging independence and positive social interactions.
• Recognizing behavioral triggers and early signs of frustration or dysregulation.
• Using approved redirection and de-escalation strategies.
• Supporting the child during challenging behaviors while remaining calm and professional.
• Collecting and documenting behavioral data as required.
• Completing accurate and timely service documentation.
• Communicating progress and concerns to the appropriate supervisor or clinical team.
• Collaborating with the child’s family, caregivers, school personnel, and treatment team when appropriate.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Fluent Spanish communication skills required.
• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred/required based on assignment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous pediatric experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or mental health needs is a plus.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or must be obtained within the agency’s required timeframe.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and screenings.
• Must complete Serenity at Heart orientation and client-specific training.
