Job Description:

The Cardiac Stepdown RN is responsible for monitoring vital signs, administering medications, managing cardiac devices, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal recovery and patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Cardiac Monitoring and Assessment: Continuously monitor patients' cardiovascular status, assess for complications, and evaluate overall health.
• Medication Administration and Management: Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Patient Care and Recovery Support: Provide post-surgical care and assist in managing post-operative pain.
• Patient Education: Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with healthcare providers and communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Emergency Response and Critical Care: Respond to emergent situations and manage life-support equipment.
• Infection Control and Safety: Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Ohio state nursing license.
• At least 3 years of RN experience in Med Surg.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
