Goodwill Industries of Tenneva is hiring a Maintenance Technician to help keep our retail stores, donation centers, warehouses, and administrative buildings safe, functional, and welcoming.If you enjoy hands-on work, solving problems, and working in a variety of environments, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Key Responsibilities:Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and mechanical workComplete routine inspections and preventative maintenance on facilities and equipmentRespond to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs in a timely mannerSafely operate tools, equipment, vehicles, and material handling equipmentAssist with construction, renovation, and facility improvement projectsMaintain grounds and support overall facility appearance and safetyCoordinate materials and supplies needed for repair and maintenance workFollow OSHA safety standards and Goodwill safety proceduresTravel between multiple Goodwill locations as neededProvide excellent customer service to internal teams and external customersQualifications:High School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of 4 years of experience in facility maintenance, construction, or a skilled trade preferredValid driver's license with clean driving record requiredMust meet Goodwill insurability requirements to operate company vehiclesForklift certification or ability to obtain certificationMust be at least 21 years oldWorking knowledge of maintenance tools, equipment, and building systemsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesStrong communication and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 poundsComfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather and conditionsWhy Work with Goodwill?Mission-driven organization making a real impact in local communitiesVariety in your day with travel between multiple locationsSupportive team environmentOpportunity to use and grow a wide range of maintenance skillsCompetitive compensation and benefits package including:Medical, dental, and vision insurancePaid vacation and holidaysBirthday offRetirement benefitsEmployee assistance programsLocation: Tri-Cities Region (TN/VA)Schedule: Full-time | Day Shift Some evenings, weekends, or emergency response work may occasionally be required.Goodwill is an equal opportunity employer
